The credibility of EMAS EMAS

In un recente incontro con dei portatori di interessi di un determinato territorio comunale, è emersa la domanda circa l’attendibilità del riconoscimento EMAS , anche alla luce del fatto che una azienda locale, che ha ottenuto tale riconoscimento, non convince i soggetti stessi (causa una contaminazione del suolo) e si nutrono anche perplessità circa l’operato degli enti di controllo locale.

Mi preme, dunque, ricordare che l’operato delle organizzazioni, che richiedono di essere registrate e di convalidare la Dichiarazione Ambientale, è soggetto ad una attenta e scrupolosa verifica da parte del Verificatore accreditato EMAS . Il quale, a sua volta, è soggetto a controllo da parte del Comitato EMAS tramite l’ufficio tecnico di ISPRA (cioè periodicamente, o su segnalazione, è soggetto a verifica circa il suo operato su organizzazioni verificate).
